City of Goose Creek

Rob Wiggins became the City of Goose Creek's Economic Development Director in January of 2023. His role with the City is a crucial one, as Goose Creek continues to emphasize the importance of economic development, attracting a wide range of businesses, and helping the businesses to be successful. 

Rob came to the City of Goose Creek from Trident Technical College, where he served as the school's Community Partnerships Program Manager and Director of the Youth Apprenticeship National Learning Hub. He was the main liaison for the Charleston Regional Youth Apprenticeships, which is a two-year, dual credit program for high school students. His team provided technical assistance to organizations across the country in developing, implementing and managing successful youth apprenticeship programs.

Over his 15+ year professional career, Rob has worked for various organizations in fields including manufacturing, grants management and business development. He lives in Goose Creek with his wife and son.
