Collection Containerizing
Service
The City of Goose Creek provides sanitation service to each residence once a week. It is our goal to provide you with the best possible sanitation service. We ask that you follow these guidelines to assist us in achieving that goal. All refuse and debris must be:
- Properly containerized - No unauthorized containers will be emptied
- Placed curbside for collection by 7 a.m. the day of collection - Trucks will not return for containers placed for pickup late
- Sorted by type - Refer to sorting your trash
- Do not mark, write, paint, or damage the cart in any way. Any damaged other than normal wear and tear on the roll carts, the resident will be responsible to purchase a new roll cart. You are encouraged to wash out the cart as needed.
Roll Carts
City residents receive one green trash container/roll cart for their residential trash. If you are a new resident please call 843-824-2200 to set up your service and receive your roll cart.
Green Roll Carts
The city provides one green roll cart to each residence for household garbage only. Residents are allowed to pay a one-time fee for one additional cart. Green roll carts remain the property of the city. Do not overload the roll cart. Green roll carts may not be taken with you when moving.
Brown Roll Carts
Brown roll carts are for yard debris disposal only and may be purchased at City Hall. Brown yard debris carts are the property of the resident. Do not place hot embers in roll cart.
