Mayor's Leadership Council
Goose Creek Mayor Greg Habib introduced the Mayor's Leadership Council (MLC) in early 2025. Sophomores and Juniors at Stratford, Goose Creek and Cane Bay High Schools with an interest in public service and leadership are invited to apply for the unique program. MLC is a nine-month commitment that allows selected students to work together on an impactful service project while learning how local governments function.
"I have tremendous faith in the next generation of leaders being produced right here in Goose Creek," Mayor Habib said. "I want to educate, nurture and inspire these young leaders, and that's what MLC will do."

Applications are being accepted for 2025-2026. The deadline to submit an application is April 14, 2025. Send your completed application to City of Goose Creek Special Projects Manager Alexis Kiser at [email protected].
