Former Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler has spent decades researching all aspects of Goose Creek's rich history. When the City celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2021, Dr. Heitzler's popular Goose Creek History lecture series was enjoyed by dozens of residents at the City's Fire Department Headquarters Station. The series of lectures covers centuries of Goose Creek history, from the region's earliest days to modern day Goose Creek.
