Key Box Program

The Key Box Program provides the City of Goose Creek Fire Department with a quick and easy means to access a secure building or area during an emergency. It also minimizes potential costly repairs caused by forcible entry and allows the building to be re-secured quickly and easily. Where immediate access is necessary for life-saving or fire-fighting purposes, the Fire Code Official is authorized to require a Key Box to be installed in an approved location. (SCFC 2021, Chapter 5, Section 506). The City of Goose Creek Fire Department has designated the Knox Box brand as the approved box type for the city. To order your Knox Box online, click here.

Once the box is installed, please contact the fire department at 843-553-8350 to schedule your keys to be secured in it.

All keys should be properly labeled prior to being placed in the box.
