City of Goose Creek

Hannah Cox was elected to Goose Creek City Council in 2020.

A U.S. Navy Veteran, Councilmember Cox moved to Goose Creek in 1999 for the Navy Nuclear Power Training Program. While in the Navy she was a Nuclear Electrician’s Mate and served as Navy Chief, a Nuclear Power Training Unit Instructor, and an Engineering Officer of the Watch.

Councilmember Cox currently works as the Director of Operations for a defense contracting firm that provides counter terrorism and program support to Military and Law Enforcement Agencies. She previously served as an ambassador for the EOD Warrior Foundation and was on the board of directors for OneNation Foundation, both charities that support our veterans.

Councilmember Cox is married to Air Force Veteran and current South Carolina Representative Brandon Cox, who also formerly served on Goose Creek City Council and Berkeley County Council. She is the mother of three children: Doug is a firefighter/paramedic in Georgia, Ashley serves in the U.S. Air Force, and Nathan is a recent graduate of Stratford High School and local auto mechanic.
