City of Goose Creek

The City of Goose Creek is seeking three volunteers to serve on its Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals (BBAA). 

The BBAA is composed of five members consisting of one engineer, one general contractor, and three members at-large from the building industry. The current vacancies are for the at-large members. 

The BBAA hears and decides appeals when it is alleged there is an error in any order or in a requirement, decision or determination made by the Building Official. The BBAA may authorize a variance from the terms of City Code. The BBAA meets on an as-needed basis.

Instructions to Apply 

To apply to serve on the  BBAA, please fill out an online application through MatchBoard. Click here to begin. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the board/commission you are interested in serving.  Click on “View Details” under the description of the board/commission you are interested, clink on “Quick Apply” and create a log-in and Profile account. Then select the board you wish to serve on and fill out the application to submit. The deadline for submitting your on-line application is Wednesday, April 16.
