  • Cooking oil cannot be discarded with residential trash

  • Dec 5 2024

Holiday reminders from our Department of Public Works:

  • City sanitation crews cannot accept any cooking oil with your residential trash. Please do not place cooking oil in your green cart or on the curbside. Leftover cooking oil must be discarded at a Berkeley County Convenience Center at 606 Oakley Road, off of Hwy. 52.
  • All cardboard boxes must be broken down with nothing inside of them and placed with the roll cart. Please cut down any larger boxes. Any packing material/wrapping paper needs to be bagged and placed in or beside the green roll cart.
  • Remember to drip a faucet during the cold nights to prevent freezing pipes and no water.
