Black History month officially proclaimed in Goose Creek

The City’s celebration of Black History continued this week, as Mayor Habib and Goose Creek City Council officially proclaimed February 2021 as Black History Month in Goose Creek. The Proclamation took place at Council's Feb. 9 meeting at City Hall.
Additionally, Proclamations were issued to recognize NAACP Founders Day on Feb. 12, and Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, which took place Feb. 7. Joining Mayor Habib were (l-r) Goose Creek NAACP First Vice President Brenda Bines-Watson, Secretary LaVone Holbert, President Sharina Haynes, and Member-At-Large John Matthews.
