Thursday , Jan. 23 update:

City offices will open at 11am Friday. Recreation facilities— including the Activity Center & Community Center — will open at 12 noon Friday.

Residential Trash pickup update: The county landfill will reopen on Friday, and our trash pickup will continue. If your pickup day is Wednesday or Thursday, please have your trash out on Friday for pickup. Our crews will get to as many of those residents as possible on Friday, and any remaining will be picked up on Saturday.

If your pickup day is Friday, your trash will be picked up on Saturday. Yard debris will not be picked up this week. Thank you for your patience!

Wednesday, Jan. 22, update:

City offices will remain closed on Thursday, Jan. 23. We will share plans for Friday as soon as possible.

Residential trash pickup update: Trash will not be picked up on Thursday as the county landfill remains closed. We are planning on the following trash schedule:

Wednesday and Thursday trash routes will be picked up on Friday; and Friday trash routes will be picked up on Saturday. Any additional changes or updates will be shared here.

Yard debris will not be picked up this week.

Please remember to leave a faucet dripping at night as freezing temperatures continue.

Tuesday, Jan. 21 Weather Update:
 
City offices will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Residential trash pickup will not take place on Wednesday. As soon as the county landfill reopens and the roads are safe for travel, we will resume trash pickup; an updated pickup schedule for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday routes will be posted here as soon as possible.

The Warming Center at Goose Creek United Methodist Church (142 Red Bank Road) will be open Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with intake beginning at 7pm.

Tuesday, Jan. 20 Weather Update: City offices will close at 4pm Tuesday, after reopening Tuesday morning at the normal 8am time. Our Recreation facilities will also close early on Tuesday, at 4pm.
Residential trash pickup will take place as normal on Tuesday. This includes pickup of Monday’s routes, which are not being picked up today because of the MLK holiday. Yard debris will not be picked up for Monday & Tuesday routes this week.
The Warming Center at Goose Creek United Methodist Church (142 Red Bank Road) will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights for those who need shelter. Intake will begin at 7pm each night.
Our Public Works Department reminds everyone to leave a faucet dripping Monday through Thursday nights to avoid frozen water pipes as temperatures dip below freezing.
